Milk

Saturday March 29, 2008

Milk is an online personal fashion blog from an employee of American Apparel and I love it… even though I cannot understand a word of it. It’s in Swedish. But her photos are worth a visit in themselves. Go visit.

Dahon

Friday March 28, 2008

After a few weeks of visiting every bike site possible (well maybe not every) on the web and reading review after review, I have decided that the Dahon Hammerhead is to be the future method of transport. And yes it is a folding bike - well sort of. It doesn’t fold in the traditional folding bike sense. But that said, this bike has its’ bonuses for me.

Firstly, it’s practicle. I live in a second floor flat so lugging it up all the stairs will no longer be a problem. Plus it sort of folds so storing it once I have successfully made the ascent won’t be a problem. It’s light, fast and nippy through the traffic but most importantly, I think it will be fun to ride.

More on my Dahon (hopefully arriving by Tuesday next week) can be found in the Fold Here section or if you wish to purchase this, or one of many bikes at a greatly reduced price then try Winstanleys Bikes. My foldie should be £480.00 but it’s currently got a massive 58% off making it just £199.99.

To view a couple of video clips made by Dahon of the Hammerhead in action then visit You Tube here and here.

Say hello to hudson

Wednesday March 26, 2008

Hudson Interior Design, in Oxton Village, is a quirky little shop that Steph and I have loved for a while now. With its’ mix of unique pieces of furniture combined with designer pieces from Sweden and alike, this shop is a regular hangout for us and someone who we wanted on our books for a while. And as of today, the contracts have been signed and so we say ‘hello’ to Hudson.

We will be working on a new website with a view to continually maintaining and updating and bringing in e-commerce in a few months time. The expansion of the site will be a planned and gradual development, with its’ initial focus being upon the physical shop in the village and the design services that are offered.

We would like to say thanks to John and Steph for allowing us to work with them on their project.

Wood… again

Tuesday March 25, 2008

It seems that there are wooden parts cropping up everywhere for bikes. These stunning wheels were found via ‘flickr‘. The set up is :

32H Shimano Deore XT Hubset
Sapim Leader SS Spokes - 14ga
DT Swiss Gold Alloy Nipples
32H Velocity Deep-V MTB Rims - Wood Grain w / MSW

Then I found some really nice wooden guards over at Fast Boy Fenders.

Watch out bristol

Gavin over at Jam Factory has commandeered from his Dad, an old KHS racing bike that he is going to get fixed up and join the biker gang that’s quickly forming in Bristol. Expect a ‘not so off the peg’ look to the bike once he has finished tweaking it. I’m hoping it will include some Jam Factory art on it somewhere and look a little like the custom jobs done by I Love Dust for Freshtripe eventually.
